It’s different for everyone
We all love in different ways
You don’t get to choose how someone else loves you
You just get to choose the person
How can you love someone else if you don’t love yourself?
Do you even get to choose yourself?
It’s complicated
Sometimes you don’t get to choose the other person
Sometimes you know the other person was chosen for you
Or you were chosen for them
You just know it
It seems so simple
But it’s complicated
You know you don’t know anything
It’s all so fresh and new in the beginning
You are mostly along for the ride
It’s a wave with an ocean beneath it
It’s a new color to paint with
It opens up so many possibilities
You can’t live without it
So why do we treat the people who love us so badly?
It’s complicated
You must learn how to do it
You must learn how to let it be done to you
Everybody’s different
Everyone changes
And love changes, too
But not really
You just know it better
And it knows you better
You know yourself better
Sometimes
Sometimes you don’t
It’s complicated
Love is a many-splendored thing
When a man loves a woman
Ain’t no mountain high enough
Love, love me do
Stand by your man
All you need is love
Jack and Diane
You make me feel like a natural woman
Me and Bobby McGee
Can’t take my eyes off you
God only knows
Love hurts
It’s complicated
